She was married to Charles McPeak on December 6, 1894. To this union were born four children, two daughters and two sons. One son died in infancy. Amy departed this life at the age of sixteen. She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, Velma Myrtle, and one son, Claude Ray, both at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Wallruff of Monticello, Iowa and Mrs. Sarah Johns of Cedar Rapids. Two brothers, Will Mandigo of Delmar, and Lincoln Mandigo of Scotch Grove survive. Mrs. McPeak was a loving wife, a faithful mother and a kind neighbor. She was a very patient sufferer, never complaining and always thinking she was causing others too much work. She had great faith in God and said let his will be done. Funeral services were held from Esgate School House Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating. Interment was made in Esgate Cemetery.
