Melloy, 88, 1168 Center Place, a former Dubuque area teacher, died at 3:45 a. m. Thursday at Mercy Hospital. Friends called after 7 p. m Thursday at the Hoffman Mortuary. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a m. Saturday at the Church of the Nativity. Rev. Joseph V. O'Brien offered the Requiem High Mass. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, North Garry Owen. Miss Melloy was a member of the Rosary Society of Nativity and the Third Order of St. Dominic. She was born at Bernard, la., daughter of James and Catherine Cannon Melloy, and she lived in this community all her life. She taught in the public school system in this area for many years.
