Hon. W. H. Reed- 

Sunday morning last Hon. W. H. Reed passed away at his home in Bellevue from 
cancer of the cheek. Mr. Reed had attained the age of 78 and has lived in 
Jackson County since 1839, being one of the pioneers and most respected 
citizens. The funeral occurred last Tuesday afternoon at the First 
Presbyterian church of Bellevue, Rev. Memmott officiating.
