Aden Richardson was born December 1, 1826, in Sodus, Wayne County, New York. In 1844 he came to Iowa and settled in Sabula. After a time he moved to Mt. Algor and in the fall of 1862 he enlisted in Company A, 24th Regiment, Iowa Volunteer Infantry. After being in service a year he was discharged, and has been an invalid ever since. He died July 5, 1901 and was buried Sunday, July 8th under the auspices of the Grand Army of the Republic posts.
