PETER ROEDER-

Peter Roeder, an old, well and favorably known citizen of Jackson township, 
died at his home near Springbrook, last Thursday, after an illness of several 
months. He was born in Luxemburg, Germany, in 1839, and was aged 61 years at 
the time of his death. With his wife he came to this country in 1867, residing 
at Springbrook, with the exception of a brief period at Andrew, until her 
death. He was the father of thirteen children, ten of whom, with the grief 
stricken mother are still living. Funeral services took place from his late 
home and was largely attended on Sunday. Solemn high mass was celebrated by 
the Rev. Knapstein for the deceased on Monday.
