Cecilia Schmidt 

Just as the twilight was falling, the death angel entered the home, bearing 
away with it the gentle spirit of the only daughter of Raymond and Neta 
Schmidt. Cecelia Schmidt was born at Canton, Iowa, April 8. 1921. She was 
permitted to tarry a short time to brighten the lives of those by whom she was 
so deariy beloved, passing away October 3, being at her demise less than six 
months of age. Besides the sorrowing parents, she is mourned by the 
grandparents, Mrs. Rudy Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bickford, six great-
grandparents and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was held from 
the home of Mr. Schmidt at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, October 5, 
conducted by Rev. E. R. Kildow, pastor of the Methodist church of Monmouth. 
Interment was made in the Canton cemetery.
