C. Miss Mary Spencer, 90, died at her home in Washington, D. C. at 3 o'clock Wednesday, September 20, 1933, following a lingering illness. She had been cared for for several years by her niece, Miss Lena Spencer. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Cassin of Delmar and Mrs. E. A. Hess of Bishop, California; one brother, Edward Spencer of Grinnell; and her sister-in-law, Mrs. H. A. Spencer, of Maquoketa. The funeral service was held on Thursday and the body will be placed in the mausoleum and will later be brought to Maquoketa for interment in the family lot at Mt. Hope cemetery.
