Maquoketa Excelsior, Maquoketa, Iowa, December 20, 1901

DIED-
In Chicago, Wednesday, December 16, at 9 o’clock, Mrs. Mary Tinker, and old 
and highly respected citizen of this city. Mrs. Tinker was in her 90th year 
and a dropsical affection coupled with the disabilities concurrent with old 
age was the cause of her demise. Her two sons, C. H. Tinker of Pittsburg, 
Kansas and Fred of Chicago, where she had been making her home since she left 
Maquoketa several years ago, brought her body to Maquoketa Thursday morning 
and the funeral occurred this morning at the home of Mr. J. P. Eaton on Main 
Street, Rev. R. D. Parsons officiated.
