PASSED TO A HIGHER LIFE 

William Trimble, an aged and respected citizen of Iron Hills, died at his home 
Tuesday, March 23, 1897, of Bright's disease and other complications. Mr. 
Trimble was born June 7, 1821 and moved to Ohio with his father's family when 
a child. On June 13, 1844, he was married to Miss Susan Sutton, with whom he 
removed to Iowa in 1852. To this union were born three sons-Robert T., Edward 
D. and Rev. W. J., all of whom, with his faithful companion, survive him to 
mourn a kind loving and energetic father and husband. 

Mr. Trimble was a blacksmith by trade, but in Iowa he was engaged in farming 
for forty-five years. He was an unassuming, but progressive man, and by 
frugality and industry had accumulated quite a comfortable fortune. A true 
man, a noble citizen, a good neighbor, is the verdict of all who knew him. The 
funeral services were held Wednesday at Iron Hills, Rev. W. C. Thompson, 
officiating, with interment in the Sutton Cemetery.
