Preston Independent, February 16, 1889, reprinted in the Jackson Sentinel, 
Maquoketa, Iowa, February 21, 1889

DIED-

At her home in Preston, Iowa, February 21, 1899, Mrs. A. M. Wheeler, aged 79 
years, 11 months and 17 days. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Seneca County, New 
York, where she resided and raised a big family of five children, until the 
year 1883, when she came to Preston and bought a home where she lived until 
her earthly career ceased and she was called to her eternal home. Two of her 
children, Mr. C. R. Schutts and Mrs. F. G. Bronson, reside here, the others 
living in New York State and Illinois.
