The only reason for the act was owing to some trouble about a line of fence, and we are further informed that the outrage was perpetrated by men hired for the purpose. We hope steps will be immediately taken to ferret out the guilty persons and bring them to justice. We understand a reward of $50 is offered for their apprehension and conviction.
