Prayer was delivered at the Harrison Funeral Home at Maquoketa by Rev. Wilbur Wilcox of Maquoketa. Funeral services were held at the Monmouth Methodist Church with Rev. Sommerville of Wyoming officiating, burial was in the Monmouth Cemetery. Graveside service was held by the I. O. O. F. Lodge of Maquoketa. Kyl Pool was born June 25, 1876 near Monmouth, the son of John and Margaret Pool. His entire life was spent in this locality except for a short time prior to his marriage when he worked for the C. N. W. Railway on a bridge construction gang. He was married to Lutie Hopkins January 10, 1910. They resided on a farm near Wyoming until they moved to Maquoketa 6 years ago. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. Encampment, Canton, Knights of Pythias, Rebekah and Sisters of Pythias Lodges, all of Maquoketa. He was active in all lodge work and had acted as delegate to Grand Lodge and as District Deputy. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, a brother Roy of Kansas City and a sister Mrs. Ora Himes of Central City.
