West 1/2 of NorthWest 1/4 of Section No. 12, Twp. #97, Range N28W
Written: November 6, 1872

Nov. 6, 1872: Enoch Wood of Kossuth Co., Iowa, applied for patent, having 
conformed to Homestead Act of May 20, 1862.  Settled upon W 1/2 of NW 1/4 of 
Sec. 12 Twp. 97 Range #28 on March 20, 1867.  Conrad Record and John Wood 
deposed that Enoch was head of a family, over 21 years of age, had built a 
house and barn, dug a well with a pump, planted 1 1/2 acres of forest treet, 
built a granary, plowed and cultivated 28 acres.
