Mrs. Mary Kelly, a Keokuk resident for many years, died at her home, 516 Cedar Street this morning at 10 O'clock after a period of illness. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wheatly she was born in Vincennes on September 16, 1860 and came to Keokuk 39 years ago. At the age of 14, 58 years ago, she united in marriage with Adam Kelly at Vincennes. He proceeded her death 40 years ago. She was a kind and loving mother who had a great affection for children and was deeply loved by them She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Surviving her are six sons and two daughters, Mrs. Stella Hogan of Milwaukee, Mrs. Fred Christie of Keokuk, and Weaver, Harry, Edward, Fred and Isaac Kelly all of Keokuk. There are also several grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Laura Smeltser of Keokuk. The funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 from the Keokuk Funeral Home. Additional Comments: Isaac was a son to Mary but not Adam Kelley. Isaacs last name was Clinton.
