Lee County, Iowa - Will of Henrietta Pipkin, 1876

                        
I Henrietta Pipkin of the city of Keokuk Lee County Iowa, being
of sound mind and disposing memory and I __ the uncertainty of
life, and the certianty of death, and being desirous of making
disposition of such property as I may be possessed of at the time
of my death, do publish and declare this to be my last will and
testament;

First: I desire that my executor here in after named shall out of
the personal property which I shall have at my decease pay the
expenses of my last sickness and that required for the decent 
interment of my body.

Second: I desire that my beloved friend Jerimiah Donehue known
and passing under the name of Jerimiah Pipkin, endivin to be many
kind office as a son, and having raised and cared for him from his
infancy I desire that he shall have, and to that end I do here by
give and bequeath unto him the said Jerimiah Donehue, all and 
singular the property which I shall leave at my death either
personal or real, he having been to me as a kind and a affecionate
son and having by his earnings assisted me in my support since he
became of age sufficient to do so and having truly assisted me in
the acquestion of whatever property I shall leave.

I hereby Nominate Constitute and appoint A.J. McCraig as the
executor of this my last will and desire that no bond be required
of him.

In witness where of I have hereunto signed my name this June 6th,
1876.
