Thomas G. Isherwood and wife
to
Hortensius Lowry
Release

Know all men by these presents that we Thomas G. Isherwood and Herpalice, his
wife, late Herpalice Lowry of Linn County and the State of Iowa do hereby 
acknowledge
that we have recieved of and from Hortensius Lowry of Westmoreland County and 
the 
State of Pennsylvania at various times, the full sum of one thousand six 
hundred dollars
and in consideration thereof we have revised, released, discharged and forever 
quit
claims and by these presents do revise, discharge and forever quit claim unto 
the said
Hortensius Lowry, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns all and all 
manner of
actions, claims, dowries, right, properties or interests we may have or might 
or could
have against him, the said Hortensius for or any account whatsoever and also all
legacies, bequests, distributions, shares, purports and dividends whatsoever 
which
were coming, belonging or due to us or either of us from the said Hortensius or 
which
were charged upon any estate real or personal had or held by him by deed, will 
or
otherwise so that he the said Hortensius may have and hold all his estate 
aforesaid
free and discharge of the laws and that we, our heirs, executors, 
administrators and
and every of them shall be hereafter forever excluded and barred from the same.
Witness our hands and seals this twenty eighth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty three.

Be it known that before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, 
personally came the within named Thomas G. Isherwood and Herpalice, his wife 
and severally
acknowledged the foregoing release to be their act and deed and desired that 
the same
might be recorded as such. She the said Herpalice, being of full age and by me 
examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said
release fully made known to her by me, declared that she did voluntarily of her 
own free will and accord seal as her act and deed deliver the same without any 
compulsion of her husband. Witness my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of 
May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.
