Mr. Chandler was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sports of all kinds, both as a participant and a spectator. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church, Mt. Hermon lodge, a longime member of the Elks, and for many years was on the board of the YMCA and was active in Camp Wapsie-Y activities. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Peter L. Topic of Cedar Rapids; a son, Paul, of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Mame Kelly of Algona, and Mrs. Ora White of Mt. Pleasant; six granddaughers, and eight great-granddaughters. His wile, the former Mary Jensen, died in 1962. Memorial services: Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m Thursday by the Rev. John Woods. B u r i a l : Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel until 1 p.m Thursday. The casket wil not be opened after the service The family suggests that friends may, if they wish, make a contribution to a charity of their choice.
