Edward Foster * Cedar Rapids, Iowa Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, March 7, 1887. Son of Myrtilla Bever and Edward Irving Foster. Wife, nee Pearl Keoppel. Graduate Cedar Rapids High School. Volunteered June 28, 1917. Field Artillery, 3d Battery. Received commission at Plattsburg and was detailed for special training in France. Was stricken with scarlet fever in New York a few days before transport sailed and died in that city January 12, 1918. His only child, Edward Foster, was born February 26, 1918.
