Solon Mitchell Langworthy, the son of Dr. and Mrs. S. M. Langworthy of Cedar Rapids will be interested in learning of his marriage which took place in Paris on October 1. His bride is Miss Madeleine Thomas, a writer and illustrator of New York. The wedding is the culmination of a war romance, the young couple meeting in a Paris hospital several months ago. __Capt. Langworthy is attached to the United States medical corps in Paris, where he has charge of the orthopedic area of the hospital. The young physician has been in Europe eighteen months and spent some time in Scotland under the famous Dr. Robert Jones. He received conspicuous mention while in Scotland because of his invention of a set of splints that were promptly indorsed by Dr. Jones. __The bride came to Paris after a brief training interval in which she fitted herself for a nurse's billet. She is now engaged in Red Cross work and will continue at her duties until her release. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thomas reside in New York City. ************* In the 1920 census, S.
