Lieut. Verne Marshall 

Cedar Rapids, Iowa 

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, August 30, 1889. Son of Emily and Harry L. 
Marshall. Driver in American Ambulance Field Service with French Army in 
Lorraine and Verdun sectors, February 26, 1916, to August 28, 1916. Returning 
to America, volunteered in U. S. Army June 4, 1917. With 34th Division until 
assigned to lecture for Treasury department. Later instructor in Motor 
Transport Corps.
