He had wandered away from his home Tuesday afternoon and after a search by relatives his dead body was found. He had been downtown Tuesday afternoon and was put on a car for home. Failing to alight at the proper corner he became confused and wandered away from the city and in the darkness and rain Tuesday night, exhausted and chilled, he fell to the ground in a field and perished. The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Edwards was born in Wales in 1939 and came to this country with his parents as a child. The family lived in Morning Sun for many years, but Manasseh and family had moved to Burlington in 1881. The deceased was respected by all. He is survived by his wife Orra, his children: J.L. Edwards, Lucretia Edwards, and Nannie Edwards; and by his 3 sisters: Mrs. Joseph Boltz, Mrs. J. K. Brown both of Morning Sun, and Mrs. D. R. Jones of Columbus City.
