ETHEL C. SORENSEN                        (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Mrs. Ethel C. Sorensen of Moorhead, Iowa passed away s at Burgess 
Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa on Tuesday, July 29, 1980.  
	Born at Soldier, Iowa on July 11, 1904, she was the daughter of Martin 
and Sophia Mikkelrud Torgerson.  She was married on February 22, 1925 to Soren 
(Sam) Sorensen in the Bethesda Lutheran Country Church near Moorhead.  Mr. 
Sorensen died on January 11, 1978.
	
	Survivors are one son of Omaha, Neb., four daughters; eighteen 
grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one brother, Alvin Torgerson of 
Onawa.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother 
Marion Torgerson.
