Services for William H. Aves, 87, Route 3, who died Wednesday at Evangelical Hospital will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the State Center Methodist Church, in charge of the Rev. William Baddeley. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Born Feb. 6, 1872, on a farm near Baxter, he was the son of William and Susan Aves. Mr. Aves was reared and educated in the Baxter area and attended the Des Moines Business College. He later moved to the Melbourne area where he worked with the Great Western Railroad as a telegrapher for 17 years. On Dec. 31, 1902, he married Laura C. Webster in Melbourne and they moved to Ira where they lived until 1905 when they returned to Melbourne. In 1910 they moved to a farm southeast of State Center and in 1937 moved to their present home.
