Services for Ira Lively, long time farmer in this area, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Pursel-Davis Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in LaMoille Cemetery. Mr. Lively died Wednesday night at Evangelical Hospital where he had been a patient for a short time. Death was the result of a heart attack. He was born May 18, 1884, in Long Branch, West Virginia, to Wilson Lee and Evaline Lively. In 1905, he went to Promise, Oregon, where he homesteaded and on August 24, 1910 he married Mabel Huff at La Grande, Oregon. They moved to their present home in 1913. Surviving are the widow and five children: Kenneth, Austin and Claude of State Center; Mrs. Doris Brooke of Omaha, Nebraska; and Paul of Summerville, Oregon; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are eight brothers and sister: Mrs. Lottie Bailey and Paul Lively, Columbia, Ohio; Mrs. C. S. Humphrey and Sidney Lively, Pax, West Virginia; Mrs. Maude McCoy, Hurt, Virginia; Walter and Clinton Lively, Long Branch, West Virginia; and Mrs. Hettie Duncan, Oak Hill, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Additional Comments: A male sibling of Ira Lee Lively died at birth in November 1892 at Long Branch, Fayette County, West Virginia.
