Mrs. Mabel Lively, 82, of State Center, a former resident of LaMoille area for 40 years, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pursel-Davis Chapel. Burial will be in the LaMoille Cemetery. Mrs. Lively was born Myrta Mabel Huff, daughter of John and Myrta Moler Huff, at O'Neill, Nebraska. She was reared in the LaMoille area where she was a member of the LaMoille Congregational Church and was a charter member of the LaMoille Woman's Club. She attended school in Mt. Pleasant for a time and later received a degree in music at Drake University. She was a piano teacher for a number of years. She was married to Ira Lively on August 24, 1910 in La Grande, Oregon. He died in 1959. Surviving are five children: Kenneth, Austin and Claude of State Center; Mrs. Larry (Doris) Brooke of Omaha, Nebraska; and Paul of Summerville, Oregon. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
