I along with others are petition the council to consider restore the building with the $1.2 million offered by the insurance adjuster. I was playing shuffle board in the facility when the tornado sirens went off. This building and property is owned by the city of Marshalltown. It is in the vicinity of the Veterans Coliseum (being renovated with insurance $)Binford House, Sower House, & Cartwright Pavilion. No one has even considered it's Historical value. I spoke with the State Historical and know that there are consultants that could do this for the people but this is kind of a last hour PLEA for HELP. Thank you if you are able to do so. The photographs are my personal ones taken and you may have permission to use them thank you.It appears I can not enclose multiple photo to the site. Additional Comments: I have contacted Jeff Stein Iowa Almanac to see if he can be of assistance too. Please feel free to contact me at 641 753-8915 for further information or photos Thank you so much for all that you do to preserve Iowa History.
