    Almen Orlando Foss was born June 16, 1916 at Soldier to Carl and Josephine 
(Swenson) Foss.  
	On December 14, 1941, he was united in marriage to Gladys Virginia 
Mattson of Glenwood.
	Almen is survived by his wife, Gladys, two daughters, Linda M. Larson 
of Glenwood, Susan and Michael Moe of Starbuck, MN, two sons, Lyle and Sharon 
Foss of Minnetonka and Donald and Brenda Foss of Spring Lake Park, MN, and ten 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
	Almen passed away Friday evening, September 6, 1996  at Glacial Ridge 
Hospital in Glenwood.
