G. Bowen, Searsboro, to Roland E. Eske, son of Mr. & Mrs. William Eske at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The Rev. C. J. Kumpf performed the double ring ceremony. As Mrs. C. J. Kumpf played the opening strains of the wedding march from Wagner, the bridal party took its place at the altar. The Rev. Kumpf led the procession followed by Miss Laura Eske, sister of the bridegroom and Ralph Bowen, the bride's brother who acted as attendants. Laurine Halvorson, as flower girl in white satin preceded Miss Bowen and Mr. Eske and scattered sweet peas and forget-me-nots in their path. The bride wore a floor length dress of white moire with veil and carried a mixed bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley, and forget-me-nots. The bridesmaid wore pink taffeta and had a corsage of gardenias and violets. For the recessional, Mrs. Kumpf played Mendelssohn's wedding march. Following the ceremony about forty relatives and friends were entertained at the William Eske home which was decorated in pink and white. A wedding supper was served by Mrs. Emil Steinberg and Mrs. Walter Hinsman, Leona Bublitz, Edna Walk and Dorothy Halverson. Out of town guests were: Mr. & Mrs. G. G. Bowen, Searsboro; Miss Lois Talbot and Miss Ruth Talbot of Chicago, Ill., aunts of the bride and Ralph Bowen, Pontiac, Ill. Mr. & Mrs. Eske left Monday for Searsboro and points in the southern part of the state where they are visiting relatives this week. On their return they will make their home with Mr. & Mrs. William Eske on the farm near Mitchell.
