The ceremony was performed at the Norwegian Lutheran parsonage at Fort Dodge, IA by the pastor, the Rev. Berg. Alyce is very well known to St. Ansgar, having received her education here. She was graduated from the St. Ansgar high school in the class of 1927 and then took a course at the Hamilton College of Commerce in Mason City, IA. For the last 2 years, she has been the capable and efficient stenographer in the office of the Sears and Roebuck store in Mason City. Mr. McCarty has been a resident of Mason City for the last few months. He holds the position of foreman with the construction company that is laying the gas line from Fort Dodge to Mason City. He & his bride are now at Blair, Nebraska, where Mr. McCarty's work is for the present. St. Ansgar friends join in wishing the young couple all success and happiness in their new venture.
