OBITUARY: JANICE IRENE ANDERSEN, Mitchell County, Iowa #1 of 3 ( Mason City Globe Gazette Monday July 9, 2001 ) JANICE IRENE (DIETERICH) ANDERSEN BATAVIA, Illinois - Mrs. Janice I. Andersen, 60, of Batavia, Ill., formerly of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away Saturday (July 7, 2001) at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County, with the Rev. Rose Marie Nack officiating. Interment will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements. Janice was born on Feb. 16, 1941, in Osage, daughter of the late Arthur and Leona (Seefeld) Dieterich. Janice was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia and the University of Iowa Alumni Association. Survivors include her son, Randall Andersen, of North Aurora, Ill.; one daughter, Jennifer Andersen, of Sycamore, Ill.; one brother, Kermit (Darlene) Dieterich, of West Burlington; one niece, Kathryn Dieterich and one nephew, Matthew Dieterich, both of West Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Andersen in 1983, and one brother in infancy. Memorial donations in Mrs. Andersen's name may be made to the First Responders in St. Ansgar.
