OBITUARY: Laura Henrietta Dutte, Mitchell County, Iowa (St. Ansgar Enterprise-Journal, St. Ansgar, Iowa; 11 APR 1991) Laura Henrietta Dutte [1894-1991] Surnames: Dutte Zerk Wilde Brown Walk Diedrich Funeral services for Laura Henrietta Dutte, 97, of the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Osage, who died April 7, were held Wednesday, April 10 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Rev. Elmer Ellefson officiating. Laura Henrietta Dutte was born March 5, 1894 in Union Township, Mitchell County, to Henry and Josephine (Zerk) Dutte. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, by the Rev. George Landgrebe, and received her education in the Mitchell County Schools. Laura lived with her parents and worked in different households. She helped care for her grandparents and her parents. After they passed away she kept house for her brother, Martin, until he passed away in 1983. Grafton Manor was her home for 12 years before going to Maple Manor Nursing Home in Osage. Laura is survived by three nephews, Elder Dutte, Harry and John Diedrich; three nieces, Ruth Wilde, Leynette Brown and Mildred Walk. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Frieda Diedrich; four brothers, Ernest, John, Louie and Martin Dutte.
