OBITUARY: Lulu A. Jorgensen Hiner, Mitchell County, Iowa Lulu A. (Larson) Jorgensen Hiner [1912-2001] [Mitchell County Press-News -- www.mcpress.com -- Posted Aug. 21, 2001] Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, 2001 at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, for Lulu A. Jorgensen Hiner, 89, of Osage. Rev. Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Lulu died Friday, August 17, 2001 at the Faith lutheran Home, Osage. Lulu was born June 6, 1912 west of Mona in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver and Anna (Gunderson) Larson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. She graduated from Lyle High School in 1930 and moved to Osage in August of 1930. Lulu married Clarence "Joe" Hiner on August 21, 1931. They lived in Osage. Joe died in 1969. She married Ervin Jorgensen on October 16, 1971. Ervin died in 1996. Lulu has been a resident of the Faith Home since Nov. of 1999. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Martha Circle. The family suggest memorials be given to the Faith Lutheran Home. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Clarence "Joe" Hiner and Ervin Jorgensen; a son, Clair Allen Hiner; a brother, Orven Larson; three sisters, Irene Stromley, Mabel Penney, Lillian Gunderson; one stepson Jerome Jorgensen. Those that survive her include a daughter, Joanne Ahrens and husband, Lester of Monroe, WI and their children, Lester John, David and Dennis and Lulu's great-grandson Lester John; a son, Donald Hiner of Independence and son Erik; four step-sons Keith and Kenneth Jorgensen of Osage, Milton Jorgensen of Kansas and Lloyd Jorgensen of Colorado; five step-grandchildren.
