OBITUARY: Alice T. (Wagner) Intorf, Mitchell County, Iowa [ Mitchell County Press www.mcpress.com June 26, 2001 ] Alice T. (Wagner) Intorf [c1930-2001] A memorial mass was held Monday, June 25, 2001 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Alice T. Intorf, age 71, of Osage. Father Philip Recker officiated. Private family inurnment services followed at the Osage Cemetery. It was Alice's wishes to be cremated. There was a gathering of friends and relatives on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, where they held a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Alice died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at her home. Alice was born in Stacyville the daughter of Valentine and Mary (Schneider) Wagner. She attended school in Stacyville and Meyer, IA. On Oct. 4, 1948 she was united in marriage to Walter H. Intorf at the Sacred Heart Church in Osage. They lived all their married life in Osage. She worked at the Fashion Corner and Fox River Mills. Alice was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, playing golf and antique collecting. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Wilford Wagner. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Walter H. Intorf of Osage; a daughter Jane Niess and husband Tim of Maquoketa; one son W. Steven Intorf and wife, Marcia of Delhi; one sister Rose Rawson of Backus, MN and one brother Joe Wagner and wife Ethel of Elma; five grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. ************************************************************** Copyright (c) 2001 by Kermit Kittleson.
