OBITUARY: Orlo H. Jensen, Mitchell County, Iowa [Mitchell County Press Online, May 2, 2001, www.mcpress.com] Orlo H. Jensen [1912-2001] Funeral services were held Monday, April 30, 2001 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, for Orlo H. Jensen, age 88, of St. Ansgar. Rev. Edward Schmidt officiated and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jensen died April 26, 2001 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage. Orlo was born September 16, 1912 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Marian and Cecelia (Hansen) Jensen. He attended school in Carpenter, IA. He farmed in Mitchell County north of St. Ansgar all of his life. Orlo married Della Perau on January 26, 1936 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar. Orlo served on the REA board, School board, Elevator Board, Farmers Co-op board, and was involved in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Orlo was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Scott Hulshizer; two brothers, Harold Jensen and Merle Jensen. Orlo is survived by his wife, Della of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Marlene Hulshizer of Northwood and LaDonna Gratias of Waukee, IA; five grandchildren, Debra Athey of Northwood, Trisha Lang of Osage, Douglas Hulshizer of Zearling, Craig Gratias of Urbandale and Jennifer Gratias Wille of Ankeny; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Jensen of Hibbing, MN and Art Jensen of St. Ansgar; sisters Maurine Moore of St. Ansgar, Edna Beuerman of Rochester, MN, Helene Johnson of Mason City.
