OBITUARY: Steven John Matthews, Mitchell County, Iowa Steven John Matthews [1959-2001] [Mitchell County Press-News -- Posted Aug. 21, 2001 -- www.mcpress.com] Funeral services were held August 16, 2001 in Phoenix, AZ for Steven John Matthews. He died August 11, 2001. Steven was born Feb. 23, 1959 in Osage to Jean and Gordon Matthews. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Steve and Geneva Kozak. Those that survive him include his parents, Jean and Gordon Matthews, a sister Tammy Matthews, brother Mike Matthews and his daughter and Steven's niece Brittany Matthews Christiansen of Phoenix; grandparents John and Marion Christiansen of Osage; various aunts, uncles and cousins including Jon and Becky Christiansen of Nora Springs and Ken and Deb Kozak and daughters of Stacyville.
