OBITUARY: Louis Novak, Mitchell County, Iowa (St. Ansgar Enterprise, St. Ansgar, Iowa; 20 JUN 1991) Louis Novak [1916-1991] Surnames: Novak, Barta, Toms, Groth, Champion, Williams, Lewis Funeral services for Louis Novak, 75, of rural Grafton, who died Monday, June 10 at his home, were held Saturday, June 15 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Louis Novak was born March 1, 1916 at Burr Oak to Joseph and Frances (Barta) Novak. In August 1938 he married Myrtle Toms at Osage. He attended school in Mitchell and they lived there until 1955 when the family moved to Grafton where he was a vegetable farmer. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Groth, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Delmar (Judy) Champion of Monmouth, Illinois; and Mrs. Ray (Susan) Williams of Washington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myrtle in 1983, one daughter, Cynthia, three brothers, Benny, Joe and Stanley; one sister, Blanche Lewis. ************************************************************** Copyright (c) 2001 by Kermit Kittleson.
