OBITUARY: Verna M. (Beyer) Zitnak, Mitchell County, Iowa

            Verna M. (Beyer) Zitnak  [1916-1991]

Funeral Services for Verna M. Zitnak, 74, of Austin, Minn., who died Wednesday,
April 10 at St. Olaf Hospital, were held Saturday April 13 at St. Paul Lutheran
Church in Austin with the Rec. John K. Pfeiffer officiating.

Verna Zitnak was born July 22, 1916 at St. Ansgar to Richard and Anna (Rachut)
Beyer. She was baptized August 13, 1916 and confirmed April 13, 1930 at
Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rec. Paul Brammer. Rev. Brammer also
performed her marriage on May 1, 1939 in the parsonage of Immanuel Lutheran to
Thomas E. Zitnak. They moved to Austin in 1942 where she was a member of the
St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Zitnak, Austin; two sons, Thomas D. of
New Brighton, Minnesota and Dennis of Blue Earth, Minn.; six grandchildren; a
sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Wilma) Hansen, St. Ansgar; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edwin and Arthur
Beyer.
