OBITUARY: Emma Cameron, Mitchell County, Iowa Emma Cameron [1901-1902] Emma Cameron, youngest child of Mrs. Grant Cameron, was born in Sherman Texas, Oct. 26, 1901; and died in Calmer, Iowa Sept. 23, 1902. Mrs. Cameron was returning from Texas to her old home here when she was obliged to stop on account of the baby's illness at Calmer. Here at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs Fred Clark, in spite of all that could be done the death angel came to call the little one away. It will be remembered that about two months ago Mr. Grant Cameron, father of the baby, died in Texas and the body was brought back here for burial. Full notice of his death appeared in the News of August 7. On Thursday of last week the body of the child was brought back and laid to rest beside that of the father. Within two years Mrs. Cameron has been called to part with her husband and two children one of whom was buried in Texas. She has still another child to be a comfort to her. Pastor D. I. Coon conducted a brief service at the cemetery in the presence of a number of relatives and friends.
