OBITUARY: Otto Carl Erdman [1880-1965], Mitchell County, Iowa Otto Carl Erdman Funeral Held at Immanuel Lutheran Funeral services for Otto C. Erdman, 85, of St. Ansgar, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital June 28, (1965), were held July 1 at the Immanuel Lutheran church here with the Rev. Edward M. Lang of Osage officiating. Otto Carl Erdman was born on August 1, 1880, on the farm he lived on all his life near St. Ansgar. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church east of Grafton. He received his education at rural schools in Newburg township. He was united in marriage to Elsie Haupt in Arlington, Wis. on December 7, 1916. He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters. Survivors including his wife, Elsie, in the Osage Nursing home; one daughter, Mrs. Leona Horgen of St. Ansgar; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Emil Erdman of St. Ansgar, and nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Lang in charge of the committal services.
