OBITUARY: John C. Hackenmiller, Mitchell County, Iowa

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Meyer for John C. Hackenmiller, 65, of Woodward and
formerly of Meyer. Rev. Joseph Schneider will officiate and interment will
be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Meyer.  Visitation will be at
11 am on Thursday at the church. He died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2002 at the
Woodward Resource Center of natural causes. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home
is in charge of the arrangements.

John C. Hackenmiller was born Nov. 10, 1936 in Meyer, the son of Alfred and
Cecilia (Klinkhammer) Hackenmiller.

John was preceded in death by his mother Cecilia Hackenmiller on Jan. 30,
1990 and one brother, Eugene Hackenmiller on May 22, 1986.

He is survived by his father Alfred Hackenmiller of Stacyville; a sister
Betty Retterath and husband Barney of Meyer; four brothers, Leon Hackenmiller
and wife Theresa of Stacyville, Paul Hackenmiller and wife Rita of St. Ansgar,
Kenneth Hackenmiller of Meyer, and Charles Hackenmiller and wife Shirley of
Austin, MN; a sister-in-law Jo Hackenmiller Popp of Osage and numerous nieces
and nephews.
