OBITUARY: Pearl Jane Fox, Mitchell County, Iowa (St. Ansgar Enterprise, St. Ansgar, Iowa; 24 FEB 1977 ) Pearl Jane Fox Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Fox, 85, who died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Griga in Osage Tuesday, February 22, will be held Thursday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Schroeder and Dunn Funeral Home here with the Rev. Howard Reed, pastor of the St. Ansgar Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar cemetery. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Enterprise. (St. Ansgar Enterprise, St. Ansgar, Iowa; 3 MAR 1977 ) Pearl Jane Fox Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl J. Fox, 85, who died in Osage Feb. 21, were held February 24, at Schroeder and Dunn Funeral Home here with the Rev. Howard Reed, pastor of St. Ansgar Baptist Church officiating. Pearl Jane Fox was born April 18, 1891 in Aberdeen, S.D. the daughter of William and Amelia Ivey. She married Raymond Fox October 1, 1908 and five children were born to htem. They farmed about 50 years in the St. Ansgar community until 1961 when they retired and moved to St. Ansgar. Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her five children: three sons, Harold, Leonard, and Edgar, Sr. of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Griga (Blanche) of Osage and Mrs. Joe (Luella) Slaichert of St. Ansgar; also 16 grand-children and 19 great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Reed in charge of committal services. Relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were from Burlington, Muscatine, Waterloo, Cresco, Osage, Riceville and Bancroft, and Winona, St. Paul, Gaylord and Austin, Minn.
