OBITUARY: Marcellene H. Mullenbach Kisner, Mitchell County, Iowa Marcellene H. Kisner [Mitchell County Press online -- Posted Jan. 16, 2002 -- www.mcpress.com] A memorial mass will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Marcellene H. Kisner, age 64, of Osage. Father Philip Recker will officiate. Inurnment services will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage. There will be a gathering of friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage with a scripture service at 7 p.m. Marcellene died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center, North Iowa, Mason City. She was born March 21, 1937 in Osage the daughter of Fred P. and Bertha (Huemann) Mullenbach. She graduated from Osage High School. Marcellene married Oliver "Tim" Kisner on Oct. 30, 1958 at Sacred Heart Church in Osage. She and Tim operated the Town Pump in Mitchell from 1974 to 1984. She continued working there for her son Tim from 1984 to 1990. After working at the Town Pump she managed the American Legion Post 278 in Osage for six years. Marcellene was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage and the Sacred Heart Guild. She loved to garden and golf. She also loved to bowl and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in St. Louis, MO. Preceding her in death were her father, Fred; three brothers, Gervase, Harold and Melvin. Those that survive her include her mother, Bertha Mullenbach of Osage; her husband, Oliver "Tim" Kisner of Osage; three sons, Timothy J. Kisner and his daughter, Britney of Blaine, MN, Steven P. Kisner and his wife, Kirsi of Coon Rapids, MN and Rodney R. Kisner of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Germaine Mullenbach and wife, Helen of Ames and Lavern Mullenbach and wife, Bonnie of Osage; two sisters-in-law, Marie Mullenbach of Tuscon, AZ and Mildred Mullenbach of Osage; several nieces and nephews.
