OBITUARY: Duane Larson 1910-1965, Mitchell County, Iowa Duane Larson Duane Larson, 55 Died in Waterloo. Funeral services for Duane Larson, 55 of Waterloo, a former St. Ansgar resident were held Nov. 8, at the First Lutheran church in Waterloo. The Rev. S. M. Schreitmueller, church pastor was in charge of the services. Burial was in a Waterloo cemetery. Mr. Larson was born April 8, 1910, at Otranto, the son of Peter A. and Eleanora Gunderson Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar. He attended rural schools in Mitchell county and later at Otranto where he was graduated from high school. He was united in marriage to Sadie Weldin of Osage, Aug. 7, 1934 in Charles City. They farmed in Mitchell and Floyd counties and moved to Waterloo in 1953. Until his recent illness he was employed by a printing firm in Waterloo. Survivors include his wife, Sadie; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Zahn of Waterloo; two sons, Darwin of Waterloo and Dale of Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. H. L.
