OBITUARY: Elizabeth Siewers Miller, Mitchell County, Iowa Elizabeth Siewers Miller 1845-1924 SAINTLY MOTHER PASSED AWAY Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Died Tuesday Morning at Home of Daughter, Mrs. F. J. Cromer. Another saintly lady closed the last page of life's book and passed peacefully to her reward on the other shore at 11:20 Tuesday morning. We refer to Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, who suffered several strokes in the few days preceding her passing, the first of which was last Saturday. The maiden name of deceased was Elizabeth Siewers, and she was born May 15, 1845, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. At the age of 15 she came with her family to Galena, Ill., where on Nov. 11, 1864, she was united in marriage with Charles H. Miller of that place. That city was their home until he passes away in February, 1903 since which time she has made her home with her four children, these being Mrs. F.J. Cromer and Miss Anna Miller of this city, Mrs. John Cromer of Galena, Ill, and Wm. T. Miller of Savana, Ill. Besides these she is survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Many of her happiest hours in late years were those when her grandchildren were around her. Her loved ones did everything possible to make the closing years of her life the happy ones they were. She was nearly 79 years of age and had never required the services of a doctor until a few days before her death. She was a (incomplete) (March 6, 1924 Mitchell Co. Press.)
