OBITUARY: William F. Frein, Sr., Mitchell County, Iowa [Mitchell County Press-News, online, www.mcpress.com, Posted May 1, 2002] William F. Frein, Sr. Funeral services for William F. Frein Sr, 73, will be held at 10 am, Thursday, May 2 at All Saints Parish in Des Moines. Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at All Saints Catholic Church with Rosary at 6 pm. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines. William F. Frein Sr. died April 27, 2002 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines of natural causes. Bill was born in Osage, IA and has resided in Des Moines since 1963. He was a route deliveryman for Prairie Farms Dairy before his retirement. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, The American Legion, Am Vets Post No. 2, Des Moines, IA and member of All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines. Immediate survivors include his wife Alice Frein of Des Moines, two daughters, Julie Schomer of Des Moines and Rebecca Montijo of Mesa, AZ, three sons, Tracy Frein of Chicago, IL, Randall Frein and Bill Frein Jr. both of Des Moines, two brothers Marvin of Minneapolis, MN and Bob of Osage, two sisters, Mary Alice Merrick of Minnesota and Pat Ahrens of Mason City and eight grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or Holy Family School. Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens is in charge of arrangements. 515-289-2442.
