OBITUARY: Leslie Henry Milton 1905-2002, Mitchell County, Iowa [Mitchell County Press-News, online, www.mcpress.com, Posted Oct 23, 2002] Leslie Henry Milton Funeral services were held for Leslie Henry Milton, age 96, of Osage on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Lay-pastor Gary Gilbert officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Leslie passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2002 at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was born December 23, 1905, near Little Cedar, the son of Henry and Agnes (Mitchell) Milton. He grew up in the Little Cedar area and attended school at Little Cedar. He farmed with his father and his brothers and later with his wife Alma. Leslie was united in marriage to Alma Williams of Little Cedar on Sept. 17, 1928. They farmed in the Little Cedar area until retirement and moved to Osage in 1979. Leslie also worked for the ASCS for several years. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alma, his daughter Joan Pearson and son-in-law Paul Pearson, his son Russell Milton, one grandson Neal Pearson, one sister Laura Ethen and one brother William Milton. Milton's survivors include a daughter-in-law Gloria Milton of Little Cedar, two brothers Loyd Milton of Osage and Maurice Milton of Mason City, four grandchildren Jeri Lou and Tim Woodward of Lohrville and children Alexis and Ashley, Julann and John Sindelar of Ridgeway and children Erin, Chad and Kiley Kloberdanz, Dave "Radar" and Marsha Milton of Osage and children Melanie and Nick Johanns and their children Bria, Bailey and Isabel, Andrea Davila and daughter Brooke, Mike Dodge and Jennifer Milton, Mark and Mary Milton of Lake Crystal, MN, and children Megan and McKinze, many nieces and nephews.
