OBITUARY: March R. Pacey, Mitchell county, Iowa March R. Pacey [St. Ansgar Enterprise, 4 SEP 1980] Funeral services for March R. Pacey, 90, who died August 23 at the Good Shepard Geriatric Center in Mason City, were held August 26 at the Hogan Bremer Funeral Home in Mason City with the Rev. M.A. Kampfe, chaplain of the center officiating. March R. Pacey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pacey, was born March 24, 1890 in Rock Falls. He attended school in Rock Falls and farmed in the Rock Falls and Plymouth area until moving to the Otranto area where he farmed from 1934 to 1948. They moved from there to Clear Lake, where Mr. Pacey was employed by Peterson construction. Following his retirement in 1965 he and his wife moved to Mason City. He was married to Minnie Howe, and she died in 1976. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Dan (Marcia) McArthur and Mrs. (Gail) Gaffney, both of Mason City, and Mrs. Norman (Carol) Blakestad of Otranto; two sons, R. Howe Pacey of Northwood and James Pacey of Keystone Heights, Fla.; also 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Interment was at the Newburg Cemetery east of Carpenter.
