                                ROY PATTEN

OSAGE--Roy Patten,71, died Wednesday evening at the University Hospital in
Iowa City.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Champion Funeral Home with burial
in Osage Cemetery. Born in Floyd County near Rudd, he had lived in Floyd and
Mitchell Counties all his life. He lived at the Cleveland Hotel in Osage
from 1941 to 1955 and was a resident of the Good Shepard Geriatric Center
the last 10 years. Surviving are two sons, Vernon, Sacramento, Calf.; 
and Berl, Mason City.
