OBITUARY: Anna "Ann" Kloberdanz Schwab, Mitchell County, Iowa Anna Schwab [Mitchell County Press-News online - 10 APR 2002 - www.mcpress.com ] Funeral services were held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, for Anna "Ann" Schwab. Father Philip Recker officiated and interment was at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Osage. Anna, age 89, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. She was born March 20, 1913 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Joseph and Katherina (Frank) Kloberdanz. Anna was united in marriage to Alex Schwab Feb. 1, 1932 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. They made their home at 1209 Walnut. She worked at various places around town and will be remembered for her kindness to others and her hard work ethics. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Schwab was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Guild. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Alex, four sisters, Christina, Elizabeth, Margaret “Peggy” and an infant sister Regina; five brothers, Joseph, Peter, Jacob, John A. and an infant brother John. Survivors include three sons: Paul Schwab of Osage; Phil Schwab of Osage and his children, Mike Schwab and his wife Katie and their children Jacob, Morgan and Andrew, Mark Schwab, Julie Marley and husband Jay and children McKenzy and Avery, and Doug Schwab; and Ron Schwab and his wife Elaine of Osage and daughters Kristy Miller and husband Kenn and Jessica Schwab; a sister Magdalene Wagner and husband Eugene of Osage; a brother George Kloberdanz and wife Luella of Waterloo; three sisters-in-law, Elsie Kloberdanz of Waterloo, Gertrude Kloberdanz of Canon City, CO, and Lou Kloberdanz of Austin, MN; a daughter-in-law Sue Schwab of Osage and numerous nieces and nephews.
