OBITUARY: Harold Eli Sheumaker, Mitchell County, Iowa (c1965) HAROLD SHEUMAKER 62, DIED THURSDAY Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Osage for Harold Sheumaker, 62, who died last Thursday at his home in Osage. The Rev. Robert Smith, church pastor, was in charge of the services and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons. Harold Eli Sheumaker was born April 23, 1903, in Wiota, the son of Eli and Nell Simonton Sheumaker. He moved to the Carpenter community in 1918 with his parents. He was married May 28, 1932, to Florence Finch. They farmed for a number of years in Worth and Mitchell counties, retiring to Osage to their present home at 1209 Oak, in June 1963. Surviving are his wife, Florence, one son Richard of Omaha; one daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Bernard Johnson of Friend, Neb.; three grandchildren; one sister Arlene, Mrs. Guy Pike of Otranto; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Louise, who died in infancy; his parents; three brothers and one sister.
